• Years back in 1802, in the reign of Russian Emperor Alexander I, Yuriev University was established in Estonia.
• During the First World War, German occupation of Estonia obliged to shift Yuriev University to Central Asia in the city of Voronezh.
•  In 1918, all the university members, staffs and students, went to Voronezh from Estonia. Hence Yuriev University renamed as Voronezh State Medical University,
•  This shows that earlier Voronezh State Medical University location was in Estonia but later Voronezh State Medical University location shifted to Voronezh.
